Razer Moves Into Portable Territory With Project Fiona

Razer has made a move into the portable market with a prototype of it’s new tablet handheld made specifically for PC gamers. This is a rather unexpected move by Razer, as just last year they announced the Razer Blade and it’s capacity to revolutionize laptop gaming. This new system looks to fill in the gap that Microsoft has left in the portable market with a sleek tablet design with a large screen and Move-like control grips. These grips are fully responsive to in-game feedback (rumble in layman’s terms) and the system features Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The 1280×800 touchscreen is meant to be an option, not a requirement, of many of Fiona’s features so as not to constrain gamers to conventional tablet gaming, and includes a 3-axis gyro (accelerometer) for motion gaming, if desired. All of this is powered by the Intel i7 processor at it’s core. Fiona looks to be a huge step into portable PC gaming to start off 2012.
